You will need to acquire before you arrive:
Iowa fishing license AND trout fee (stamp).

- Mobile App: The GoOutdoorsIowa app (available on iOS and Android) allows you to buy licenses and store digital copies on your phone for field use.

Important Requirements
- Social Security Number: You must provide the last four digits of your SSN to create or log into your account, as required by federal law for child support enforcement purposes.
- Durable Hard Card: For an additional $6.00, you can upgrade to a waterproof, durable plastic card that will be mailed to your home address.
- Age Limit: All anglers 16 years and older are required to have a license to fish in Iowa waters
